# Troubleshoot the CLI

> Fix common login, project, GitHub, and release failures.

If the CLI says you are not signed in, run `npx goalmatic@beta login`. If the saved session belongs to another API origin, pass the matching `--api-url` or log in again.

If a project is not linked, run `goalmatic accounts`, then `goalmatic projects --account <account-id>`, and then `goalmatic link <project-id>` from an empty directory.

If GitHub setup fails, check `goalmatic git status`. Confirm that the Goalmatic GitHub App can access the selected repository and remove secrets before retrying source migration.

If publish reports success but the old page remains, run `goalmatic status --json` and open the exact route in a fresh session. Check the revision or release ID before retrying.

If CI cannot prompt, pass explicit account and project options where supported and set `GOALMATIC_TOKEN`.
